Order and Ship
Browse through our items and click on the photos of the items you would like to purchase.
Click "Add to Cart".
Not yet done? Got your eye on another item? Go back to the home menu, or use the search bar to add more items to your cart.
When you are ready to complete your order, click "Checkout".
Fill in fields with your contact and shipping information.
Choose your payment option (BPI bank deposit or PayPal).
Click "Complete my purchase".
Wait for an email containing your sales invoice and/or payment instructions. (Please see order processing at the bottom of this page for important timeline details.)
No account is needed to place an order.
The purchases are made via PayPal. We don’t need any bank or credit information. To make the payment, after clicking on the Checkout button, you will be directed to the PayPal site to ‘Log In’ and review the amount shown before clicking ‘Pay Now’. Once this transaction is complete, you will then return to CHAKANU. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon completion of the packing of your order by CHAKANU. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorized by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer.
If the issuer of your credit/debit card refuses to authorize payment to CHAKANU, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
The prices are in US Dollars. If you are a customer whose credit/debit card is not denominated in US Dollars, the final price will be calculated in accordance with the applicable exchange rate on the day your card issuer processes the transaction.
Eligibility to Purchase
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors of the products shown on www.chakanu.com. However keep in mind that computer monitor’s display of any color can be slightly different than real color. Please be aware that all our products are artisanal and made by hand so sometimes slight differences will occur in color and pattern.
We can process orders and answer e-mails from Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM (GMT-5Philippine time).
For orders placed later than Friday 5 PM, please expect that your orders will only be processed the following Monday.
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability, and Items in your shopping basket are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers.
Acceptance of Your Order
Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order. This email is NOT an acceptance of your order, just a confirmation that we have received it.
Unless you cancel your order, acceptance of your order will be perfected upon completion of the packing of your order. Completion of the contract between you and CHAKANU will be perfected when we dispatch the goods to you at which time you will receive a second email containing you tracking number, and confirming that your order has been dispatched.
We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event, for example, that we are unable to obtain authorization for payment, that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item, that the item ordered is out of stock or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn, or that you do not meet the eligibility criteria set-out within the TOS.
We ship worldwide via DHL. Please allow 4 working days for international orders to be delivered. Shipping fee will be computed upon checkout.
Product prices displayed are exclusive of duties and taxes. We currently ship all items Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) which means we cover the cost of shipping your order BUT all additional taxes, import fees and surcharges levied by destination countries are the responsibility of the customer. We are unable to provide an estimate of these charges as it depends on the country's rules and regulations.
Import duty or tax costs will be invoiced to you directly from DHL or an import broker appointed by you. We recommend you contact your local customs authority to determine a landed cost price prior to purchase completion.
Returns and Exchanges
The sales are final. We accept returns only in the following conditions:
Damaged items during transit or faulty, in which case we would replace it for a different piece of the same style.
If you realized the size of the hat is not the ideal for you. Please note you can only exchange items for a different size, based on stock availability.
We only accept returns/exchanges within 15 days of shipment, and only if the product comes in its original packaging.
Items should be returned unused and with all CHAKANU garment tags still attached.
Please email immediately if any of your purchases have been delivered without CHAKANU tags or damaged.
CHAKANU items purchased at independent boutiques and department stores must be returned to that store. Please contact the individual store for their return policy.
HOW TO RETURN/EXCHANGE YOUR ITEM: E-mail us at regarding your concern, and we will send you the instructions. Please note that additional shipping fees (back to us, and then back over to you) will be handled by the customer. In the case of damaged items return, we will give a full refund in shipping costs as the form of store credits.
